Sonic World is a fan game engine geared towards the Adventures and Heroes games. It is a very advanced enhancement of the BlitzSonic engine, pushing it to the limits. This is the first WIP Alpha DEMO of a Sonic Adventure 3 Fan Game developed by GalaxySoftware Studio. And using Unreal Engine 3 by Epic Games and the Sonic GDK Engine by Xaklse Sonic Adventure 3 - Fangame Windows, Mac. Sonic the Hedgehog 3D is a free fan game about a famous SEGA mascot, Sonic, and it is made on Build Engine with additional EDuke32 port. The game was inspired by two classic Sonic series: Mega Drive/Genesis and Sonic Adventure series. From the very beginning of the project, Sonic 2 HD has focused on maintaining the feel that has made Sonic the Hedgehog 2 a classic while using new tools to reimagine the original as it could have been were it made today. The game’s art direction reflects this, but Sonic 2 HD has also given equal attention to unseen essential elements in the physics and audio. The result of this is an unprecedented re-interpretation in high definition graphics, music and gameplay of Sonic 2, which continues to set quality standards to this day.
We firmly believe 2D artwork is the foundation of Sonic’s retro roots. With this in mind, our goal was to produce a similar shading style to the Japanese original concept artwork and set it in motion with hand-drawn animations. Now, 25 years after Sonic 2’s release, Sonic 2 HD can faithfully represent the original’s cast of characters and environments in a world where technology no longer imposes artistic limitations.

Sonic Utopia is a fabulous fan made 3D sonic game that allows for fast paced and flowing gameplay and an enormous amount of different routes to take across its vast landscapes.
While Mario’s transition from 2D to 3D was a smooth experience, transferring Sonics high speed action platforming gameplay to the third dimension has never really hit the mark. Thankfully though the combined efforts of Mr Lange, Murasaki, Tpot, and PicsandPixels have created Sonic Utopia – easily the best 3D sonic game we’ve ever witnessed (possibly bar Sonic Dreams, but that’s a very different kettle of fish!)
The current build of Sonic Utopia offers one gigantic, sprawling level based on the iconic Greenhill Zone from the Sonic games. You can speedrun through the level in a few minutes with a bit of practice (once you’ve figured out your routes) but it’s worth taking your time too as this vast, vibrant world is packed full of secrets, beautiful vistas and alternate routes to experiment with.
The work Mr Lange and co. have done on Sonic Utopia is simply jaw dropping. With their version of Greenhill Zone they’ve created a vast open playground that’s a joy to take the speedy blue hedgehog for a spin in. We really can’t wait to see what else they have planned – somebody at Sega really needs to give these guys a job!
