... on classes that don't get time dilation or ammo powers, and without using a click macro?
Specifically, how does it compare to the other AR's in power or even the Viper (which it is based on to an extent)?
The Carnifex is obtained early in the game, as part of the 'Dossier: The Professor' mission. It fires slower than the Predator, and has a significantly smaller ammo capacity (18) but deals a lot more damage per shot. M-5 Phalanx (DLC) The Phalanx is part of.
A lot of old timey threads just talk about how it is so much more powerful than the other choices on some of the casters without a lot of numbers that I could find. Some claims also seem to be contrary to what I would expect numbers to actually show if they are calculated correctly.
Might do some maths later today just for the hell of theorycrafting, but want some current day opinions.

- Damage = 40.2 (default = 37) 60 SBO + 1 clip- 2.11 M-6 Carnifex Damage = 95.4 (default 85.4) 30 SBO + 1 clip- 2.12 M-5 Phalanx Made crosshairs visible along with the laser Laser boot up time almost instant. Can now properly use the gun. Damage= 65.8 (default 109.8) Rate of fire = 300 RPM max (was 100), can fire a lot faster 40 SBO + 2 clips.
- I understand the Carnifex has three times the clip size, but the refire is too slow to justify its lack of damage. It needs a bump in base damage to make it possible to kill red bars in 2 headshots to make it viable. These hard hitting accurate midrange pistols have been my favorite weapons in ME and I'd like to see them get some love.
